Bagpipes and Drums of Hawaii (808) 640-7885
The Dogwatch was formed in the year 2000 with only two band members; Brady Buntin on the Highland Bagpipes and Benton Little on the Scottish snare. While outfitted in Black Watch attire, they would pipe and drum old Scots-Irish tunes to entertain guests aboard Lobo Del Mar's sunset cruise on the Sea of Cortez, in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
The band slowly grew and today The Dogwatch consists of brothers, cousins, and uncles. Their style mainly rooted in Scots-Irish traditional music, also incorporates other world music styles such as, Middle Eastern Bellydance music, Spanish Flamenco, Mexican folk music, blues, and Tahitian. The family has a dance troupe, consisting of nieces sisters and aunts, who's dance styles include Bellydancing, Irish Step Dancing, Hula, Tahitian, and Flamenco, all performed by the accompanying music of the Dogwatch. The band today, as from its beginning, remains distinguished by principle and with great honor it is privileged to pay tribute to its Scots-Irish heritage.
